Why Earth FX exists
Earth FX International was founded on a simple belief: wildlife, environments and people cannot be considered in isolation. Protecting one often means understanding and strengthening the others.
Our work brings conservation, education, research, community participation and sustainable development together to create practical solutions that respond to real places and real needs.
We believe conservation should do more than protect what remains. It should help restore what has been lost, improve the way wildlife is cared for, give communities opportunities to participate, and prepare future generations to become part of the solution.

OUR STORY
It began with a belief that things could be done differently.
Earth FX International was founded in Australia in 2005 by Myra Christine, born from years of working with wildlife, people and the environments that connect them.
What began as a conservation vision gradually became something much broader: a belief that protecting wildlife cannot succeed in isolation from the communities, education systems and environments that surround it.
Across wildlife care, zoos and wildlife facilities, conservation research, education, tourism and international projects, one principle continued to emerge — lasting change happens when we stop treating individual problems separately and begin looking at the whole picture.
That philosophy became Earth FX International.
Today, Earth FX is developing practical conservation models that bring together wildlife welfare, environmental restoration, education, research, community opportunity and sustainable development — adapting those solutions to the needs of each place in which we work.

THE JOURNEY
From belief to experience. From experience to action.
Over two decades, Earth FX has been shaped by experiences across countries, cultures and conservation landscapes — from wildlife welfare and fieldwork to research, education and communities. Each experience has helped shape the way we see conservation today.
2007 — ASIA
Wildlife welfare & conservation
Experiences with wildlife rescue and welfare organisations across Asia helped shape an early understanding that conservation must place the wellbeing of individual animals alongside the protection of species and habitats.
2009–2010 — VANUATU
Conservation in the field
Working in island environments brought conservation, communities and ecosystems together — reinforcing the importance of understanding environmental challenges within the places and lives they affect.
2010–2011 — ZAMBIA
A connection that would last
Time spent travelling and working in Zambia created a connection that would endure for more than a decade — and ultimately become one of the most significant chapters in the Earth FX story.
2015 — LAOS
Conservation beyond the familiar
Working and travelling through Laos reinforced the importance of seeing conservation within its wider landscape — understanding communities, environments and the realities that shape the relationship between people and nature.
2017 — SCIENCE & RESEARCH
Strengthening experience through science
Beginning university study in 2016 added another dimension to years of practical experience — bringing scientific research, evidence and critical thinking together with firsthand knowledge of wildlife, environments and conservation.

Today, Earth FX brings together conservation, education, research, wildlife welfare, communities and sustainable development — using lessons gathered over two decades to create practical solutions for the future.
The places have changed. The challenges have changed. But the belief that began the journey has not.

EARTH FX INTERNATIONAL ZAMBIA
Turning the vision into action
Earth FX International Zambia represents the first major country-based development of this model.
Established as a Zambian non-profit organisation, it works locally to support conservation, wildlife welfare, education, research, community participation and sustainable development — with initiatives being developed around real Zambian needs and opportunities.

The challenges facing wildlife and the environments we share are too interconnected for that — and so are the solutions.
Earth FX International is building toward a future where conservation brings together wildlife welfare, education, research, communities and sustainable development; where knowledge is shared across borders; and where young people are given the opportunity to understand, question and help shape their conservation future.
Some of that work has already begun.
